Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of ProductMapper - our website, dashboard, and API. By creating an account or using the API, you agree to these terms. If you're using ProductMapper on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
The service
ProductMapper resolves product identifiers - UPCs, EANs, GTINs, ASINs, and titles - against live marketplace data and returns matching product, pricing, and ranking information through a REST API and dashboard. Results depend on third-party marketplace data we don't control, and availability, pricing, and rank information can change or be temporarily unavailable without notice.
Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and any API keys you generate confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
Plans, credits & billing
ProductMapper is offered on a credit-based subscription model. Each plan grants a weekly allowance of mapping credits that renews on your billing cycle; unused credits from a cycle don't carry over. You can also purchase one-time credit packs, which never expire and are spent before your weekly allowance. Subscription fees are billed in advance through Stripe. See our Refund Policy for details on refund eligibility.
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the API or dashboard in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit metering, or any other technical restriction on the service.
- Share, resell, or sublicense API keys or account access to unauthorized third parties.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, data, or infrastructure.
- Use the service to build a directly competing product-mapping or resolution service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
Data & results
You retain ownership of the identifiers you submit and the results returned to your account. We store your lookup history so you can access it later and so repeat lookups resolve quickly - see our Privacy Policy for how that data is handled. Marketplace data returned through the API belongs to the marketplace that published it; you're responsible for complying with any restrictions that data source places on its use.
Service availability
We work to keep ProductMapper reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, and marketplace-side outages or rate limits outside our control can affect resolution results. Custom-plan customers with a negotiated SLA are covered by the terms of that separate agreement.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
ProductMapper is provided "as is." We don't warrant that resolution results will be complete, accurate, or continuously available, since they depend on third-party marketplace data outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProductMapper isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, non-payment, or extended inactivity, with reasonable notice where practical.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as ProductMapper evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page, and where a change materially affects your rights, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active account holders.
